Sue Wild : Software Test Engineer

Open to new opportunities

Hi, I’m Sue Wild and I’m a software test engineer with 8 years experience in both automated and manual testing.

I’m currently looking for a new opportunity, so thought I’d share a bit about myself.

For the past 6 years I’ve been working in test automation after starting out as a manual tester, working with a company that specialises in executive search. This was my first introduction to testing and I learnt a lot about working with development teams, the Agile way of doing things and the process of planning and executing tests. It was a solid start to my testing career and gave me a good foundation to build on.

Following a move to Sweden with my partner, I took up a test automation intern position with a company specialising in contract management in the shipping industry. I’d studied computing at postgraduate level back in Dublin and wanted to make use of my programming skills in my testing career. Initially I was the sole automation tester working alongside one manual tester but the company steadily grew during my time, resulting in 3 automation testers and 4 manual testers contributing to our testing effort. I worked with C#, Selenium, NUnit, Azure DevOps, Docker and Specflow. I learnt a lot during this time and it was great to bring a product to market and see it succeed. Unfortunately the company ran into financial difficulty further down the line and had to lose staff resulting in me losing my job.

Currently, I'm collaborating with Yuki, a product agency, as a freelancer to craft Cypress tests using Javascript for an organisation dedicated to developing a Layer 2 Ethereum scaling solution. As this project is nearing its conclusion, I'm actively looking for a new opportunity.

I’ve learnt a lot whilst working in software testing and I’ll happily bring my attention to detail, curious nature, adaptability and clear communication style to any job I do.

I’ve also recently been expanding my knowledge of Cypress and Playwright and I've been documenting my learning here. Feel free to take a look.

Please reach out to me at suewild2008@gmail.com or connect with me on LinkedIn. I’d love to hear from you. You can also delve deeper into my professional history on LinkedIn or review my CV.

I look forward to potential collaborations and discussions!
